The objective of the Communications department is to raise awareness among our target groups of the issue of organ donations and transplantation. In doing this, its focus is on the medical professionals directly involved in the organ and tissue donation process. A large proportion of the communication measures are also aimed at the general public, however. Various channels are used for communication, such as the magazine, the newsletter, the website, social media channels and active media relations. Larger campaigns such as the Youth Campaign and events like the 2017 European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation are organized as projects. Swisstransplant also regularly attends selected events and conferences and helps partners and associations to organize their own events by providing accompanying communications, giveaways and information material. Traditional events include the TACKERS Camp for children and young people who have had transplants and the Winter Symposium for medical professionals.
